I have recently opened talks with the MS society about providing group exercise facilities for persons who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. I have been invited to start a rehabilitation class in the Tiverton area, and I am due to begin discussions about bring Multiple Sclerosis rehabilitation to the Torbay, Teignbridge and South Hams areas as well to name but a few.
Multiple Sclerosis can be very debilitating as sufferers will know only too well, but that doesn't mean that exercising to maintain the abilities they have, and to increase functionality of daily life is beyond their capabilities.
Exercising, and leading as active a lifestyle as possible, will help sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis overcome such symptoms of the condition as:
- Fatigue - Muscle stiffness
- Muscle spasm - Balance difficulties
- Walking difficulties - Bladder problems
- Bowel problems - Low Mood
- Depression - Anxiety
- Stress - Osteoporosis
- Weight loss (to a dangerously low level) - Weight gain
- Sleep problems - Loss of muscular strength and function
Class places are priced cheaply at just £3.50 per person, per class. This falls in line with my reduced rehabilitation class rate, many sufferers of a medical condition will not be able to earn as much money and may be on benefits, as such I have priced these opportunities in such a way as to be affordable to all.
If you are interested in attending Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation classes, then please e-mail me or telephone me (see contact page of the website) for further information or to book a place, or alternatively contact your local MS centre.
I am also available for 1:1 individual personal training for anyone who does not wish to exercise as part of a group, or for anyone who wishes to have their programme of exercise designed more specifically for them. These are available at the usual rate (see fees page on this website for details), as are partnership PT sessions and small group PT sessions (again see fees page for further information).
